Active Release Technique®

ART®

Active Release Technique® is a patented, state-of-the-art soft tissue system/movement-based technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with Active Release Techniques®.

Overused muscles lead to chronic tension causing the formation of dense scar tissue in an affected area. This scar tissue binds up and ties down tissues that need to move freely. As scar tissue builds up, muscles become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons causes tendonitis, and nerves can become trapped. This can cause a reduced range of motion, numbness, and weakness.

  • Improves proper muscle activation

  • Increases muscle pliability

  • Non-invasive

Treats

  • Shoulder - frozen shoulder, biceps tendonitis, rotator cuff problems

  • Hip - “hip pointer”, bursitis, hamstring strains, IT band

  • Elbow – Tennis elbow, golfers elbow

  • Knee – Osgood-schlatter’s disease, patellar tendonitis, general knee pain

  • Foot – Plantar Fasciitis, Sever’s disease, Achilles heel problems

  • Low Back - Sciatica, Piriformis Syndrome

  • Neck - Cervicogenic Headache, Whiplash

Dr. Jaron Hua is Certified in ART Full Body Level 2 (Spine 2, Lower Extremity 2, Upper Extremity 2) and Nerve.

ELDOA

ELDOAis a revolutionary therapeutic exercise system that aims to reduce the compression on joints and normalizing tension in the body. Disc compression existing at any level of the spine can be addressed through a specific ELDOA exercise, and help to compliment any treatment and home program.

The ELDOAcan effectively alleviate and overtime help fix acute and chronic back pain. When done regularly, ELDOA can help offset many of the risk factors that can cause degeneration and herniation of the intervertebral discs.

Once learned, these exercises can be used by a patient long term to manage pain or simply maximize mobility. ELDOA is a French acronym for Longitudinal Decompression Articular Stretching and was developed by world-renowned rehabilitation expert Dr. Guy Voyer, DO.

ELDOA Program:

  • ELDOA 1 – Common ELDOA’s for the Spine

  • ELDOA 2 – Spine

  • ELDOA 3 – Hip, Shoulder, Ribs

  • ELDOA 4 – Pelvis

  • ELDOA 5.1 – Spinal Pathology

Dr. Jaron Hua is ELDOA 5.1 Certified.

Spinal, Postural, Functional & Performance Screens

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT SYSTEMS

- MOVE WELL. MOVE OFTEN.

At Synergia Spine & Sport, we believe that physical performance is dependent on understanding how the body functions and maximizing that ability. To function at a high level an athlete must have strength, stability, flexibility, mobility and coordination. All of these characteristics are evaluated at our clinic through the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA©) which is the gold standard for physical assessment. Once weaknesses or imbalances are identified, an appropriate plan can be prescribed and followed to maximize physical function. All treatment and rehabilitation exercises are administered with the goal of improving physical performance for the chosen sport or activity. Our results are demonstrated on the field, the court or in the gym.

Treats

  • Concussions

  • Movement Imbalances

  • Weaknesses in strength

  • Maximizes athletic performance

Diversified Chiropractic Adjustment

Our clinicians are trained in diversified chiropractic manipulation techniques. This represents a blend of techniques from various chiropractic institutions.

Joint manipulation is a conservative and safe intervention to restore function and reduce pain in a joint that has lost its normal biomechanical mobility or function.

Some of the benefits of manipulation include:

  • Restoring joint mobility, function, and health

  • The improved joint function reduces the onset of degenerative effects of aging

  • Helps restore neuro-biomechanical function in a specific joint and through spine

  • Increases energy, and vitality and improves sleep

TITLEIST® PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE

At Synergia Spine & Sport clinicians are certified through the Titleist® Performance Institute (TPI), the world leader in golf performance—we assess how your body mechanics impact your swing and overall game.

This allows us to create focused treatment plans for:

  • Low back or shoulder pain

  • Hip mobility and core stability issues

  • Swing efficiency and injury prevention

Whether you're a competitive golfer or simply want to play without pain, we tailor care to match your performance goals.

Graston Fascial Release/IASTM Techniques

Graston Technique® is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) that utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments. These instruments enable clinicians to detect and effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions.

Effective in the treatment of:

  • Achilles Tendinosis or Tendonitis

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

  • Cervical Sprain or Strain

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Lateral Epicondylosis or Epicondylitis

  • Lumbar Strain or Sprain

  • Medial Epicondylosis or Epicondylitis

  • Patellofemoral Disorders

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Rotator Cuff Tendinosis or Tendinitis

  • Scar Tissue

  • Shin Splints

  • Trigger Finger

  • Women's Health (Post-Masectomy and Caesarean Scarring)

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

Low Level Laser Therapy is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries to improve wound and soft tissue healing, reduce inflammation and give relief for both acute and chronic pain. This treatment is often used for sprained ankles, bulging/herniated discs, golfer’s and tennis elbow, and Achilles tendonitis

  • Stimulates cells around injured areas to speed up healing time

  • Great for Achilles heel problems, low back pain, and wrist/elbow problems

  • Non-invasive

  • Pain-Free

LLLT enhances mitochondrial function, leading to increased ATP production, improved cell metabolism, and potentially promoting tissue repair and reducing inflammation by modulating reactive oxygen species and activating signaling pathways.

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET)

NET is a mind-body technique that uses a methodology of finding and removing neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. NET is a tool that can help improve many behavioral and physical conditions. These conditions include headaches, body pains, phobias, general anxiety, self-sabotaging behaviors, organ dysfunctions and so much more. It’s important to note that NET does not cure or heal the patient, but rather, NET removes blocks to the natural vitalism of the body, “allowing” the body to repair itself naturally.

Dr. Jaron Hua is a Certified NET Practitioner.

Neuro Kinetic Therapy (NKT)

NeuroKinetic Therapy® corrective movement system is a sophisticated bodywork modality that can be used as both an assessment and rehabilitative technique for low back pain, neck pain, carpal tunnel, and other injuries.

A NeuroKinetic Therapy® practitioner identifies areas of weak movements and where corrects need to be made. After corrects, to complete the reprogramming, specific rehab exercises are assigned to “burn in” the new functional pattern.

Dr. Jaron Hua is Certified in NeuroKinetic Therapy Level 3.
